About Us

Crossroads Christian Church is an independent, nondenominational fellowship of believers.

Our Vision
Crossroads Christian Church exists to connect everyone, everywhere to Jesus by multiplying leaders, campuses and churches.

In 2016, Lead Pastor Patrick Garcia shared a message about our future together as a church. View or listen to his message here.

Our Mission
The mission of this church was established 2000 years ago when, during his physical ministry on earth, Jesus Christ laid out the blueprint for his Church. Our ongoing mission is to be “Disciples Making Disciples”. We believe that a disciple is someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Jesus and who is on mission with Jesus.

The History of Crossroads Christian Church
The vision for an East side congregation was first formed in the 1940s, and on Easter Sunday in 1967, forty-four joyful souls gathered for morning worship in an east side home – our very first service! In 1969, we moved to the corner of Bellemeade and Cullen Avenues as Cullen Avenue Christian Church first opened its doors. In 1997, the name was changed to Crossroads Christian Church in anticipation of a move to Newburgh. One year later, we held our first service at our present Newburgh campus, and Crossroads has continued to grow its family. In 2007, we celebrated our 40th anniversary.

Crossroads shares a common heritage with about 5,000 churches worldwide known as the Christian Churches / Churches of Christ. The principle of this movement is to restore today's church life as dictated by the teachings of the New Testament.

Although we exist apart from any external authority or control, we do participate with other churches in many projects and programs that exalt Jesus Christ and spread the Gospel.

To place membership at Crossroads, you must follow the precedents set forth in the book of Romans:

  • Admit that you (and everyone else) have sinned (Romans 3:23).
  • Understand that the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23)
  • Acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God's only Son and that He paid the penalty for your sins by His death on the cross (Romans 5:8, 10:9-10)
  • Follow Christ through baptism by immersion into His death, burial and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4).

Take Your Next Step - Attend a Starting Point class
Starting Point is your opportunity to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how to take your next step at Crossroads.  This is a pastor-led, interactive class that lasts 60 minutes.  If your next step is salvation, baptism, joining a small group, membership, or volunteering, Starting Point is the place for you to go.  Beginning September 1, we will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at
10:00 AM in Room TR207, as well as the 3rd Saturday of each month, immediately following services.

To RSVP for a Starting Point class, contact Niki Langston at 812-518-1460.

If you are already a baptized believer, you can respond to the invitation extended during each weekend worship service. If you are not able to respond during the worship service, please contact Niki Langston at 812-518-1460 to speak with a pastor or to register for the next Starting Point class.
