    Mobilizing & Equipping

To release millions of hours of prayer and finances and workers into the harvest force… To see churches planted, discipled, and reaching out into their own cultures and then on into other cultures. Our first partner is Uncharted International, a global mission organization based in Evansville, IN. In partnership with World Vision, Uncharted has opened the countries first restoration home, called the Thelo Center, for girls and women rescued from slavery in Myanmar. Crossroads Human Trafficking Task Force

    Isaiah 61:1

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners….

The Crossroads Human Trafficking Task Force exists to:

    1) Educate and increase awareness about modern day slavery.

    2) Call the body of Christ to prayer and action to make a difference.

    3) Partner with workers and organizations that are working to free slaves and restore survivors in the name of Jesus Christ.

    About Modern Day Slavery

Human trafficking is modern day slavery. In America we like to think that slavery was abolished in 1865 with the 13th amendment, but the truth is there are approximately 27 million people in slavery worldwide today.

Hard Fact: There are more people in slavery today than at any other time in human history. Slavery has existed for thousands of years, but changes in the world’s economy and societies over the past 50 years have enabled a resurgence of slavery. The trafficking of humans is the third largest crime industry in the world (behind illegal drug and arms trafficking) and is estimated to generate over $32 billion annually.

Hard Fact: For a gun you have to buy more bullets, drugs run out… But a person can be sold over and over again.

People are trafficked for things like sexual exploitation, forced labor, organ harvesting, child soldiers, illegal adoptions, forced marriage and more.

Slavery by the numbers in the 21st century:

    • Approximately 27 million men, women, and children in slavery worldwide (That is about the total population of every U.S. state capital, plus Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City.)
    • 70-80% of human trafficking is for sex.
    • Over 50% of all victims of trafficking are children.
    • 300,000 people are trafficked each year in South East Asia alone.
    • The United States is not immune to trafficking. Thousands of people are trafficked into the US yearly for forced labor and sexual exploitation. And it’s estimated that more than 200,000 American children are at risk of being lured into sex trafficking each year.
    • The production of pornography is directly related to human trafficking. 90% of all legal pornography worldwide is filmed, distributed, and/or manufactured in the United States.

    Prayer Points

Our work begins and ends with Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus has come to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we are praying daily for the end of human trafficking in all parts of the world. There is no greater weapon against human trafficking than prayer!!

Download our monthly prayer calendar to join us in praying for an end to slavery. You can also pick up a printed copy of the calendar in the Crossroads Resource Center.

When we don’t press into this issue continually in prayer we settle for our own strength and resources instead of tapping into the strength of our Almighty God who has infinite resources. We humbly ask that your first and most important continued response to the injustice of human trafficking would be to pray.

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.” –Oswald Chambers

There are many creative ways in which you can pray. Click here to learn more about Exodus Cry’s Red Light Prayer Challenge.
