Tornado Relief

We are happy to announce that because of the financial generosity of our Crossroads family, our Elders have designated $50,000 to immediately assist with tornado relief.

These funds will provide urgently needed supplies in Dawson Springs, KY, and other affected areas.

Dawson Springs is a town that was struggling before the tornadoes passed through and caused devastating damage. Crossroads’ mission prioritizes serving under-resourced, often forgotten areas, and Dawson Springs fits those parameters.

To maximize our relief efforts we believe it is important to form a partnership with an organization that has deep ties in Dawson Springs and that will be in the area for the foreseeable future.  Thus, we are partnering with Christ Tabernacle, a church that has had an ongoing ministry in Dawson Springs. Together, we will work to provide relief for people who have been impacted by the tornadoes.

Teams from Crossroads have been traveling to Dawson Springs for one-day “trips” to help clean properties, secure tarps on damaged roofs, help organize a supply distribution center and perform other tasks.  Our next scheduled trips to Dawson Springs are Saturdays, January 29, February 26, and April 2.

This is just the beginning of our support of the relief efforts. Over the coming months, we look forward to coming alongside our partner, Christ Tabernacle, as they walk with Dawson Springs through their ongoing restoration.

Everyone can play a part in this vital relief effort. Please join us in living and loving like Jesus by:

  • Praying for families in the Dawson Springs area, and for the related relief efforts.
  • Giving undergarments for residents of Dawson Springs.  Bring new-in-package undergarments to our Newburgh Campus by the end of our final Christmas Eve service at  6:00 PM on December 24, 2021.
