Veterans' Family (Homefront)

Veterans' Family (Homefront)
Mondays, beginning September 12, 6:30 PM, Room 105

Homefront is a group of ladies who are also wives, mothers, and widows of active duty military and veterans. We seek to understand and encourage women who  live with a veteran or a family member who is deployed. We have a special bond that women who have had no involvement with the military would not understand. We are a sisterhood that strives to put Christ first in our lives and to lift each other up.

ABOUT OUR FACILITATOR
Donna Burkdoll

My husband, Mike and I have been members of Crossroads since 1987.  14 years ago, Mike founded PointMan, after being reunited with his Marine brothers after 42 years.  He had always wanted to do something to help combat veterans and starting the PointMan post was the answer.  I came alongside & formed Homefront for wives, moms, girlfriends and widows of veterans.  Our mission statement is one of understanding the lives of women that live with a veteran or a member who is deployed.  We have a special bond that women who have not been involved with the military would not understand.  We are a sisterhood that strives to put Christ first in our lives and to lift each other up.  We are so thankful for the opportunity to meet during Crossroads Support Group sessions.
