SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY FOR FOSTER FAMILIES
Childhood trauma marks everyone it touches. If that trauma results in time in foster care, the ripple effects of that experience can devastate families for generations. Should that child not be reunited with their bio family or adopted, the effects are often catastrophic on the rest of their life. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Our Partner: Hands of Hope
Our Foster Care Advocacy Team participates in two programs through our partner, Hands of Hope. Care Portal is an online connection between DCS Case Managers who identify needs within families and people within churches who help provide for those needs.
We also support several foster families within our church through Care Communities.
Current Priority: We are raising up Care Communities for every foster family within Crossroads. We also participate in several foster care roundtables to learn more about opportunities to serve our community.
