The Elders, who serve as representatives of the church, are nominated by the church membership and undergo a prayerful screening, interview, and approval process. Approved candidates are then presented to those who are Crossroads Christian Church members, who then vote to affirm(or deny) the selection. Once approved, Elders serve subject to the following provisions:

• Any Elder may resign at his own initiative
• The Council will conduct an annual review of each of its members.  Based on this review, the Council may request the resignation of an Elder
• Each Elder will be presented to the church's membership for reaffirmation after three year's service

Elders are not paid staff; they serve as volunteers.  Each member of the Elder board has equal voice to the system of consensual agreement on the team.
