Crossroads family and friends,
Please click the video link below, for a message from our Lead Pastor, Phil Heller.

Last weekend, we, as your Elders, announced our decision to establish the Crossroads Response Fund to be used exclusively to help meet the needs in our community due to the effects of COVID-19.  We also shared our approval of allocating $50,000 from church funds to launch the Response Fund.

This initial funding was done to kick off another way that we, as a church, could share the love of Christ with people in need in our community. Working in strategic partnerships with Crossroads’ ministry partners, including the Need a Neighbor Initiative, and frontline organizations, this Fund will help facilitate the work of our church in the community.

You can learn more about the Crossroads Response Fund and the Crossroads Response Team at

Today, we are setting a goal of $250,000 for total giving to the Response Fund and a target of Thursday, April 30 to meet this goal.  This means we are challenging ourselves, as your Elders, and our congregation to personally contribute another $200,000 to the initial $50,000 funding.

As we are all seeking to live and love like Jesus, if you have the ability to do so, please consider giving generously to this Fund that will help the most vulnerable in our community and congregation.  Please keep in mind that giving to this Fund does not replace your regular tithes and offerings to the church’s general fund. Giving to the Crossroads Response Fund should be over and above regular tithes and offerings.

With God’s help, we can get through this pandemic full of faith, with wisdom and by loving our neighbors well.

Message from Our Elders/Lead Pastor

Crossroads family and friends,

First, we want you to know that we are in prayer for those in our community who have been impacted by the probable tornado last night in Newburgh and Henderson. This afternoon, we have mobilized teams to deliver needed supplies and lend a helping hand to our neighbors. Over the next few days, we will provide updates via social media as we identify additional storm-related needs in our community. Click here to request or offer assistance as a result of these tornados.

This weekend, Crossroads' Elder Chairman, Brian Gower, announced that the leadership of our church has established the Crossroads Christian Church COVID-19 Response Fund (Crossroads Response Fund) to reduce the short and long-term impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the most vulnerable in our community. This fund is separate from the church’s other operating accounts.

Click the video below to learn about ways we are mobilizing people and resources for the most vulnerable in our community.

What is the Crossroads Response Team?
In response to COVID-19 and its effect on our community, we have established the Crossroads Christian Church COVID-19 Response Team. The purpose and vision of the Response Team is to lead our church to live and love like Jesus by mobilizing people and resources to engage the most vulnerable, and front-line professionals in our community.

What is the Crossroads Response Fund?
Our goal with this fund is to reduce theshort and long-term impact of the COVID-19 crisis on individuals and families in our community. Additionally, this fund will further support COVID-19 efforts with our local ministry partners.

Your Crossroads’ Elders and Lead Team have approved $50,000 to start the Crossroads Response Fund and are asking our church body to give generously to the fund.

How can I give to the Crossroads Response Fund?
Donations to the Crossroads Response Fund may be made by checks made payable to Crossroads Christian Church that can be mailed to: Crossroads Christian Church, P.O. Box 5386, Evansville, IN 47716. (Please write “Response Fund” on the memo line of the check to designate your desire to contribute to the fund.)

Please keep in mind that giving to this fund does not replace your regular tithes and offerings to the church’s general fund. Giving to the Crossroads Response Fund is over and above regular tithes and offerings.

Look for more information about the fund, to be shared in the next day or two!

What if I have a need?
In addition to the Crossroads Response Fund, the Need A Neighbor platform, is designed to enable anyone in our community - neighbors, family members and friends, members of our congregation, etc. - to say if they have one of the following needs:

•  Need groceries or urgent supplies, or delivery of these

•  Need a meal (prepared or boxed/bagged)

•  Need financial assistance

•  Need prayer for me or someone else

•  Need a friendly phone call

If you or someone you know have a need, go to and complete the form there. If you need assistance with applying, please contact the church office at 812-858-8668.

What if I want to volunteer?
If you would like to volunteer to help meet some of the needs listed above, please click here to complete a volunteer registration form or contact Jaci Ackerman at 812-518-1429 to register and for training.

You can learn more about these and other opportunities to meet the needs of our community by exploring the tabs to the left.

Message from Our Elders/Lead Pastor

Crossroads family and friends,
Thanks to everyone who joined us online last weekend, especially for those who worshipped with us at our Online Campus for the first time.  We hope you felt God’s presence.  Also, thank you for your generosity last weekend utilizing electronic giving.  We trust God to provide in the midst of this situation and we affirm your trust, being faithful in giving your tithes and offerings.
We want to give you an update on how we are approaching this weekend and the future as it relates to our weekend worship services, and the impact of COVID-19.  This weekend and until further notice, we will worship through our Online Campus at  We continue to identify ways this online experience can be meaningful and engaging for everyone and to provide additional resources for all ages to keep us strong in our faith and purposeful in the way we are living.  Please join us at any of our worship service times (Saturday, 5:30 PM, Sunday, 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM) or set aside a specific time for yourself and your family to worship with us together via replay (which will be available immediately after our regular service times on Sunday) at

You can also find helpful resources here:
• For children -
• For teens -
• For Crossroads' Response to COVID-19 -
In addition, we want to thank several of you who have already stepped up to serve in one of the outreach opportunities in our community.  And we want to encourage everyone to live and love like Jesus by reaching out to your family members, friends, neighbors and co-workers offering to pray for them and see if they have any needs you could serve.  Our local community outreach partners are working together with us and many churches, and are close to releasing a way that our entire community can express needs, and needs can be met.  This is a time for all of us to work together.  This opportunity should be up and running in the near future, hopefully early next week.  Until then, keep serving those around you in a safe and responsible way, making sure to heed the advice of health officials in order to protect the most vulnerable of those around us. You can find opportunities and suggestions at
While we are honoring the recommendations of the CDC and our governmental leaders to not meet in person in groups more than 10, we are also identifying ways we can connect and care for each other.  Our Elders and Lead Team are identifying how to limit our operating costs, as a church, so that we can be even more generous in meeting the needs of our local partners, our members and those in this community.  Your continued generosity will help us be able to show God’s love in very tangible ways as this crisis continues.
Please know we are praying for you as our church family and friends, and we are attempting to lead with faith, wisdom, and love for our neighbors.  Please engage with us as we continue to live and love like Jesus daily. We are available for prayer or any pastoral need at 812-858-8668.
