Glenwood Students
SUPPORT TEACHERS, STUDENTS, AND THEIR FAMILIES
The neighborhoods on the lower Southside of Evansville face steep challenges to growth and flourishing. Families often struggle with making ends meet. Business development is sparse and schools struggle to help students keep pace with those in other communities. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Our Partners: Glenwood Leadership Academy and Potters Wheel
Our team works alongside Glenwood Leadership Academy and Potter’s Wheel. GLA is a K-8 public school that educates most of the students on the lower Southside. Potter’s Wheel is a non-profit who cares for families who call GLA home. They provide cradle to career services for families in these neighborhoods.
Current Priority: Our Glenwood Kids Advocacy Team is focused on supporting GLA teachers through an Adopt-A-Classroom program and helping funnel volunteers to Potter’s Wheel’s after school programs.
