SUPPORTING & CELEBRATING SPECIAL NEEDS FAMILIES
Families who have members with special needs face unique challenges. Many do not feel comfortable bringing their loved one to church and a large percentage don’t feel like their church is a major part of their support system. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Our Partner: We launched our Special Needs Advocacy Team in Fall 2023. We are currently researching potential partnerships.
Current Priority: Our team is focused on developing a group of volunteers to offer social activities for individuals with special needs and respite evenings for their families. We’re also looking into ways to support our weekly family ministries.

SERVE WITH US:
- Sunday Morning Buddy: Support a person with special needs during the 9:00 or 11:00 AM service by attending worship or spending time together one-on-one. Serve one service per month. Training is provided. Background check is required.
- Respite Nights: Respite Nights (every other month) offer fun and community for individuals with special needs while giving caregivers a break! Volunteers help serve dinner and interact with participants. Background check is required.
If you are interested in serving with our team, please complete the following simple form and mark "Special Needs" under the Compassion heading.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray that those with special needs and their families will experience a community of love and acceptance at Crossroads that fosters respect, recognition, and support of their needs.
