Holy Spirit Class - Spring 2022

Sundays, 10:30 AM-12:00 PM, Room 209
Led by Bill Altman and Emily Linge

For three years, the disciples had spent nearly every waking moment with Jesus: listening to him, walking with him, eating and resting with him. As that time came to an end, Jesus told them that he needed to go away so that the Holy Spirit could come (John 16:13-14).  And that they would actually be better because of it!  Did Jesus really mean that?  Did they, and do we, need the Holy Spirit in our lives more than we need Jesus’ physical presence?

In this 9-week course, we will discover that the answer to that question is a resounding YES.  We will explore who the Holy Spirit is and how he moves and expresses himself in our lives.  The Bible teaches that God exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In this course, we invite you to explore the reality of the least known and experienced person of the Three.  We will answer questions like, “Who is the Holy Spirit?” “What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?”  “What about Spiritual Gifts?” and “How does the Holy Spirit influence my daily life?”
