Live and Love Like Jesus
Wednesdays, August 25-November 17, 9:15-10:45 AM, Newburgh Area - At the home of Rachel Klink
Whoever claims to belong to God must live as Jesus did. (1 John 2:6)
When we choose to follow Jesus, we make a deliberate decision to live and love like Him. But what does it mean, exactly, to follow Jesus?
Living as a disciple or follower of Jesus, the rabbi from Nazareth, requires us to reorient the whole of our lives around being with Jesus, becoming like Him, and doing the things that He did. Three simple goals, a life-long pursuit. Not just a Sunday morning thing, but a way of life.
Following the teachings of Jesus in this way requires practice in community with the help of the Holy Spirit. The result is life transformation that infuses every facet of our lives—our free time, our family, our relationships, our community, our identity, and our calling.
Is this kind of transformation possible in the chaos and constant state of distraction in our culture? Absolutely! Join us as we explore various practices that help us live and love like Jesus. We will use various resources from practicingtheway.org as the foundation for our study.
Childcare is available at the Crossroads Newburgh campus. Drop off your kids before heading to Rachel’s home, just minutes away.
Study participants will need a Bible (your choice of translation). No additional resources need to be purchased.
