Join us on Sunday, November 21, as we celebrate what God is doing as He leads His church. Crossroads members will also vote to affirm our Elder's recommendation to approve our 2022 budget and Elder candidates!

2022 ELDER CANDIDATES 
NEW ELDER CANDIDATE 
ANGELO FRIERI
Angelo Frieri and his wife Carrie were born and raised in Chicago and have called Southern Indiana home since 2008. They have been married for 22 years and together, they have four children, Laura, Brittany, Jillian and John. Carrie and Angelo make their home just one mile away from Crossroads and have been involved in many ministries over the years. Angelo accepted Christ and was baptized at Crossroads in 2009. He has served and led multiple mission trips and has been part of various church leadership groups. Angelo has been involved with Kairos prison ministry in numerous roles. He has also served as a mentor in Crossroad’s Men’s Ministry and has been a participant and led many bible study/discipleship groups over the years at our church. He has been a business executive for 30 years with a focus in Sales and Leadership. His most recent role is part of the Executive Team at AFCO Performance Group in Boonville, IN where he serves as Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. He has worked at AFCO for the past 7 years. Angelo is a graduate of DePaul University/Chicago with a double major in Finance & Management. He is also a certified Leadership Coach of the John Maxwell Team and he is a certified Dave Ramsey Financial Coach. He is excited to utilize his gifts of Shepherding, Teaching, Wisdom and Discernment to serve our church body.


CANDIDATE RENEWING FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM
JOHN HAYDEN
John Hayden is a Certified Public Accountant working in house for Shoe Carnival, and is responsible for the tax function for the entire company spanning roughly 400 stores and across 35 states and Puerto Rico. John also spent roughly 2 years serving on the Evansville City Council prior to moving to Newburgh. John has been married to his wife Cassidy for 11 years. Cassidy served on staff at Crossroads for multiple years prior to the birth of their first child. John and Cassidy live in Newburgh with their three children, Ryker (age 7), Eisley (age 4), and Briggs (age 10 mos). John has been a member of Crossroads for 16 years, and has served in many areas including: Middle School Ministry, High School Ministry, Adult Small Group leader and coach, Audit Committee, Finance Committee, Church Plant Team, and Elder.


CANDIDATE RENEWING FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM
DAVID McCLARY
David and Jenna McClary have been married for 28 years and have lived in Newburgh for the past 23 years. They have attended Crossroads for eleven years, involved mostly with their kids’ ministries through middle school and high school. These have included leading youth small groups, youth choir, and youth mission trips. David currently serves as Co-Leader on the Facilities Team and as an Elder. Jenna also previously served on the Worship Team. David is a Building Trades Teacher at Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center. They have 3 adult children, Zachary, Michelle, and Sydney. Zachary expects to graduate from Purdue University at Christmas with a degree in Chemical Engineering and really enjoys serving at his church, Northview in West Lafayette. Michelle is studying French Horn Performance at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee and expects to graduate in the Spring of 2023. Sydney is studying Psychology and Pre-med at Lipscomb and also hopes to graduate in the Spring of 2023. It is with a humble heart David hopes to continue serving as an Elder at Crossroads Christian Church.


CANDIDATE RENEWING FOR A THREE-YEAR TERM
MATT WHETSTONE
Matt and Katie Whetstone have been married for 12 years. They have two children, Harper (age 5) and Leo (age 2). Matt works in commercial lending with First Bank in Evansville, which he has done for 11 years. He has been serving at Crossroads since 2008. He is currently serving as an Elder, and on the following teams: Mobilization Leadership, Worship Leadership, Church Planting and Weekend Worship. He and Katie are also involved in Young Adult Ministry. Previously, Matt was a Small Group leader, High School Ministry leader and he also served on the West Campus Launch Team.
